NEW ARTIST OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER --- Kigen Ekeson

Kigen is an amazing artist from the American southwest region. Her paintings have a fanciful and jubilant feeling to them. The brush strokes are lively and interesting. In her own words, she says she tries to create art that has its own inner life to it. She has certainly accomplished that life shining through her paintings that simply cannot be ignored! Another interesting fact about Kigen, she studied at a Zen monastry for 15 years to capture the simplicity of that way of thinking in her artwork. Her artwork does have a beautiful simplicity and balance to it, that makes you want to look at it again and again. We look forward to the next masterpiece from Kigen!
